“I’m a kid!” is a bitter look at youths deluded by the dream of getting a “rock star” life at any cost.
King Hammond, ska legend, accepted Mr.Bogo’s invitation to perform for the first time with a Puglian band, the Big Ska Swindle Band.
The result is pure dynamite!

King Hammond’s career is full of prominent moments but the highlight has to be winning a Grammy Award.
Between 1978 and 1980 he played on numerous post punk singles including the cult Cuddly Toys and Steve Treatment.
Nick Welsh started writing and recording as King Hammond while he was the bassist for Bad Manners and Buster’s All Stars.
His first three official tracks were “Skaville UK” which was the theme tune of the TV series “British Tribes” and recorded by Bad Manners on Bluebeat Records, “King Hammond Shuffle” and “Right On King Hammond” both included on the Link Records ska compilation.
In 1989 Nick worked with the producer Longsy D on the hit single “This is Ska” a mix of ska and house music which the press nicknamed “skacid”!
In 1989 his debut album “Revolution 70” was released to critical acclaim and today highly desired by collectors.
In 1991 Nick left Bad Manners to join Selecter producing 6 albums with the band and 2 others on the project Selecter Acoustic.
In 1992 he formed Big 5 with Jennie Matthias (Belle Stars) and John Bradbury (The Specials) recording 3 albums in 5 years.
In the same year Trojan Records released a compilation album of 25 King Hammond tracks called “Blow Your Mind” on their Receiver label.
Nick has produced for some ska and reggae legends like Prince Buster, Lauren Aitken, Dave Barker, Susan Cadogan, Judge Dread, Rico Rodriguez and Lee “Scratch Perry.
His work as musical director on the album “Jamaican ET” by Lee “Scratch” Perry earnt him a Grammy for Best Reggae album that year. He continued to work with Lee “Scratch” Perry on the album “Alien Starman” (re-released in 2015 with Holiness Righteousness) and on the live DVD “The Ultimate Alien”.
Nick has produced two albums for the 2tone singer Rhoda Dakar (Bodysnatchers/Special AKA) “Cleaning In Another Woman’s Kitchen” and “Back To The Garage”.

It was in 2001 that Mr. Bogo (Dario Divella) recruited some characters to form the Ska Band soon to be known as “Skarraphon-X”. After a year it became “The Big Ska Swindle” with numerous European performances including the repertoire of unreleased footage recorded and produced with legends on the world stage, the New York Jazz Ensemble.
Mr.Bogo and Tano Grazioso also play as resident musicians in the band of English ska legend King Hammond (Bad Manners, The Selecter and Skaville UK; Grammy Award 2002) and have also toured with the Rude Boy Mafia and played with artists such as Susan Cadogan and Dave Barker (Trojan Records), Roddy Radiation (The Specials), etc.
