Great stuff from The Darts. Some people call them garage rock noise (speaking of garage btw I’d to see them on the same bill with The Hellacopters), others say horror punk - They’ve been compared to The Cramps which I agree but really on feel and atmosphere more than their sound. And speaking of which their sound is a little psychobilly too which I love. Is this a bad word lately btw? I don't hear people using it lately - and before we say anything else about bands that are pyschobilly, I am talking about describing The Darts' sound, music, and singing - not their lyric style, not politics etc.

Special shout out to lead singer Nicole Laurenne who, besides vocal duties, uses a Farfisa organ. A FAST 3 series to be specific I believe. This was the same brand of organ also used by Blondie, The B-52s, Talking Heads, and Pink Floyd. That last one their is not so much in the vein of the Darts' sound but I'm mentioning just cuz I personally love them.

In an era where it's really easy to use your PC or even your smartphone (musicians, please don't do this for the most part!) it's great to know someone is using a great, *real*-sounding, classic style of organ to embellish their sound, and i really do think it adds a lot to The Darts' presentation overall. Great show Darts! Looking forward to seeing you again.
