It took a lot of time
And effort. But we turned this Washburn 333 copy into a brutal tribute guitar.
It started with a busted Buddy Blaze ML 79, extracted the best hardware from it, Grover Tuners, Dean Vintage 79 Neck Pickup, Dean Blazebucker Bridge (Designed by Buddy to replicate the original Dimebucker he built for the actual Dean from Hell), OFR, R3 nut, etc.
Added 3 500k Bourns pots, 3rd is Tone with .22|uf orange cap, a CTS 3-way Switch, Switchcradft Output Jack, and upgraded cloth wiring. Shielded the cavities, leveled and crowned the frets, setup the neck,
Corrected the FR alignment, wet sanded, layers, polished, buffed the thin finish to a nice deep gloss, and finished it off with upgraded FR springs and Ernie Ball Strings.
I honestly think this turned out great and really captured that low growl metal sound the hardware and instrument deserved.
