In this video take a look at the brand new MXR Power 50. The Power 50 is the new signature overdrive pedal of Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. For years, Tom's signature drive tone came from his Marshall JCM800, MXR have taken this tonal template and put it into a small package so you can take those huge JCM tones anywhere you want.

The pedal is laid out with the same controls as the amp and it also has an FX Loop so you can run effects via the loop the same was Tom Morello does.

In the video I am using my Tokai T-Style guitar with a set of Tone Hatch Vintage Class A3 pickups, and my 1985 Kramer Striker. The guitars are plugged into the Kool Amplification 11 which is running into the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X. The only other pedal in the chain is the Dunlop Cry Baby Custom Badass Dual Inductor Wah, this is running via the FX Loop of the Power 50.
