http://www.vladtv.com - "I wanted to get back to that frame of thought. Not saying that was my best seller or best body of work, it was more or less like I wanted to get back to that beast mode s***."
The L.O.X.'s Sheek Louch talked to DJ Vlad about his latest album, Silverback Gorilla 2 the 17 track follow up of 2007's Silverback Gorilla. The Yonkers native's newest album has heavy names featured such as, Pusha T, Ghostface Killah, Fabolous, and Swizz Beatz just to name a few and he says getting the collaborations were just phone calls and pure appreciation of his work.
He explained getting Pusha T on "Bang Bang" wasn't handled the typical industry way, "My man Shroom out of the Netherlands sent me this track and I just can hear him on it and I just gave him this call, 'Yo, I need you on this record' — pretty much everybody that got on this album was saying, 'Yo, we big fans n****, are you crazy? We're doing this immediately.'"
Check out the interview above to hear how he got Swizz Beatz on the album and who his top five rappers of all time are.
