Chords are one of the most important areas of study for guitar players. This is due to the simple fact that the more chords we know the more broad-based and far-reaching our sound will be.

In this lesson, I inject some new ways to play a collection of common guitar chords from the key of “C.” These new chords and their voicing options are performed by all the famous players.

Our focus will be on the primary chords of the key of “C,” (“I-IV-V”). The new versions cover the “C” and “G” chord, along with a bonus version of the “F” chord as well.
Once you learn these chords, I guarantee that you’ll find their harmony to be a fantastic addition that enhances songs and makes chord riffs more soulful.

This lessons chord collection is based off versions of the primary chord group of the key of “C.” We’ll place our focus on the unique sounds that are possible through using; “inversions” and “triad over bass-note” chords. The chord versions include new voicing options for, “C” major, “G” major and, “F” major.

Along with learning new chord patterns, be sure to practice performing them in the chord riff composed for the lesson. Additionally, you can also benefit by studying how the chords can be combined together with melodic lines as I’ve showcased in the video opening guitar solo piece.
