First of all, I want to thank the IFMC for the opportunity. I loved working on this project. This was my first ever film scoring, but definitely not the last!

The contest: Original movie by Colin Levy. Participants are asked to score these final minutes.

My choices: The obvious route I could have taken was one filled with stressful, strident music, perhaps with detuned passages, approaching a horror movie. But I preferred to go for a more mysterious, intriguing but exciting score, which almost turns to epic at the end to give that feeling of climax and resolution of the plot, all very dramatic of course. I also composed for the credits, if you feel like listening.

My process, briefly : I used a different plugins to imitate violins, cellos, pianos. I also used different reverbs to enhance the atmosphere. I finally used automation on all these previous to create the desired rythmics throughout the movie.
