the spot (dr. johnathon ohnn) is a supervillain appearing in american comic books published by marvel comics. the character the spot has been depicted as an enemy of spider-man and daredevil. the spot gained the ability to open interdimensional portals and smaller-scale portals, which he uses to travel long distances instantly and commit crimes.

the character appears in a silent cameo in the animated film spider-man: into the spider-verse (2018), and is voiced by jason schwartzman in its sequels spider-man: across the spider-verse (2023) and the upcoming spider-man: beyond the spider-verse. but while we wait for the movie we can already watch his rap battle against undertale character wd gaster

w. d. gaster is a character from the 2015 video game undertale. he cannot normally be encountered in the game, and is never discussed directly. wd gaster got internally named "mystery man", is generally used to portray w. d. gaster, though the sprite's connection to the character is only hinted at, and not confirmed.

the existence and nature of w. d. gaster has been the subject of speculation among both fans and critics. multiple theories exist about him, including ones that suggest that he is related to sans and papyrus. it has also been argued that his name is a reference to the wingdings font, similar to sans and papyrus being named after the fonts comic sans and papyrus. but now he is in a rap battle first.
