I finally did it. I made my first official cover. I played with my heart and soul to this track and I think I achieved some decent results. I'm not really a good harmonica player, in fact most of my friends in the harmonica community could play circles around me, but this turned out amazingly. For this, I snuck in some licks from my heroes and you can tell I just straight up copied them from the videos and records when I use them. But I decided to go for an almost single note approach to my sound in this track, only using double stops and tongue blocking when appropriate at the right moment. Many people have told me, including my family, that my playing has gotten a lot better since I started taking lessons from my good friend, Todd Parrott. I definitely noticed that my playing sounded more fluid and smooth compared to choppy and almost robotic sound I used to have. I would like to thank everybody who has helped me and encouraged me throughout my journey as a harmonica player.
