Playing bass in Pantera is no easy task. First, the bass had to sync with the millimetrically-precise guitar playing of ‘Dimebag’ Darrell; second, it had to occupy a frequency that didn’t clash with Vinnie Paul’s mid-heavy drums.
Rex Brown pulled it off though, helped by the bass-boosting tones of his Spector NS-2.
