This Christmas holiday, I've been able to spend some time revisiting the series that likely influenced my youth the most, and the world of comedy in general during the '90s, which still remains a topic of discussion to this day. Whose great honor would this be if not for "The Simpsons"?
While watching the end of season 6 and the beginning of season 7 in the well-known double episode "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" I heard this fabulous theme created by the master of Salsa music, Mr. Tito Puente. I just HAD to transcribe and cover the video. This song is really good, truth be told. As a child (I was 7 when this episode aired), it really captivated me, and it's a pleasure to pay tribute today to one of the best guests on my favorite serie.
In the song you can find a quite classic Latin Pattern (Tumbao) playing trough the chords and playing what it has to play. It's quite fast but nothing that you can't achieve with a little of practice. Probably it was played with a 5 strings (which will make life easier in this song), but i still transcribed it for 4 strings, to make it enjoyable for everyone, even if it gets a little harder to change between some chords....
