Hi Everyone! Welcome to our YouTube channel "Twin Head Rock".

Sadly, it's been 30 years since the death of Kurt Cobain, front man and founder of Nirvana. We thought that it would be fitting that we pay tribute to the band who had helped to usher in a new era and genre in music 'Grunge' to the MTV generation in the early 1990's.

We had pre-recorded half a dozen Nirvana songs over a year ago in April 2023 which we are now presenting as a virtual (Zoom) style pre-recorded mini-concert series which we titled "Twinvana Fest".

This tribute gave us an opportunity to don our Favourite Halloween Costume (the Freddy Krueger sweater) which Cobain had also worn on many occasions in the early 1990's. We also pulled out some old wigs that we had lying around the house just for fun along with the very cool Christian Roth style sunnies.

We hope that you'll enjoy our "Twinvana Fest" tribute videos of Nirvana. We made these videos in the style of music videos that was popular back in the 1990's with an abundance of grunge. For those of you who are not really into Nirvana, do bear with us for a couple of months as we will be back with our usual standard Classic Rock Cover Song uploads.

For those who are first timers to our YouTube Channel, below is the reason we started our channel in the first place.

We are 11 year old twins (Nathaniel & Sebastian) and we both play drums & guitar. Sebastian is the lefty although he plays the drums right handed as he couldn't be bother swapping over the drum kit every time Nathaniel had played with it. During the pandemic lockdown we decided to learn some songs so that we could learn to play together for the first time along with our old man who is on bass. As the lockdown period grew, so did our song list. In the end we had learnt about 100 songs so we decided to video our playing together and to create a YouTube Channel so that we have an audio visual record of our musical journey during this most difficult period and turn it into a positive.

We had recorded most of the songs that we had learnt over a short period in May / June 2022, thus the playing in our videos are far from perfect as each song were recorded in no more than 2 takes. For us, it was simply to have on record all the songs that we had learnt over the period rather than having just a selective few well executed songs from our set list. It was about capturing a moment in time in our lives that we can happily look back on.

There are going to be some bum notes, out of sync playing and some lousy video editing with some of our videos, however this truly reflects our skill level and command of our instruments at the time of these recordings. Thus, our videos are revealed warts and all with no audio / visual corrections or overdubs as all the videos are composed from just one continuous video take. Also the sound quality on some of the videos are a bit dodgy so you may want to turn down the volume on some of our videos as we have no experience in capturing live audio recording of our playing with the backing track. However, we went to town with the visuals and video editing mucking around with the array of effects that was on offer in the video editor to make our videos a little more entertaining.

We now have enough recordings to upload a new video / Shorts onto our YouTube Channel each week so do Subscribe to our Channel if you want to continue watching our new video uploads.

We hope that you enjoy our videos.
