Universal Beings

It started,
it began with one.
From one came two,
things grew, in which order,
who knew?
You to me, or me to you?

Did it ever matter?
Does it even matter?
Superiority over another,
a fantastical lunacy,
perpetuated by insecurity
and insidious fallacies.

A desperate need to lord over another,
genetic supremecy.
Universal beings being ground into obscurity.
It's not enough that our sisters and brothers,
permanently on their knees.
Pleading for basic human needs, human rights,
while the whole world knows humans can be wrong,
fallible, forgetting what's valuable.
Universal Beings
find ways to connect - not disrespect life
with escalating wars.
Why?
What for?
The earth is ours, not yours, not mine.
We all should be allowed to find joy in the next sunrise.
