Our show had more of a budget for season three, however it can still be classed as a very low budget production. The majority of the spend is in man-hours. As you can see, making a mock-up set before we began the full-scale set was invaluable, it gave us a very clear vision and, in sticking to it, we have developed a solid complete set without encountering any major unforeseen circumstances. This is a great example of how to create a plausible, convincing set on a very tight budget. It's all about the planning. There are some differences between the completed kids' TV show set and the mock-up, but they came from necessity, we always had the clear vision of the mock-up so that we could compare sets and stay on track as closely as possible. One thing you might notice is a picture on the wall of Jovis Bon-Hovis and Stripy Monkey; this sweet little addition was to cover a hole which was cut in error, but now it's there we wouldn't want to be without it!

With the shooting of season three of our show now in full swing, I thought it would be interesting to show you the comparison between the mock-up set we made and the completed full-scale set as it actually turned out.
