At the 2001 GRAMMYs, Shakira took home the award for Best Latin Pop Album For ‘Shakira - MTV Unplugged.’ Recorded in August 1999 during her "MTV Unplugged" performance at the Grand Ballroom in New York City, the special episode was released as a live album the following year.
