BlackRoots Academy Of Soul lessons/classes.

Going through the drills, learning every day and trying very hard to get better.

Was I to use school/education as an analogy, Rachelle Ferrell's vocalisation would be a PhD program. It's incredibly challenging.

For her first stint singing lead vocals (instead of being a Background Vocalist with us), we threw Lisa Sonia in the deep end.

The challenge was to sing the Soul-R&B classic, 'Welcome To My Love'.

Rachelle Ferrell is such a unique and Virtuoso Vocalist, a Quintessential Soul/Jazz Singer-Songwriter, one that aspiring Lead Vocalists need to study.

Lisa Sonia is still a work in progress as far as singing lead is concerned, but we're determined to see her reach her full potential through hard work, dedication and more challenging drills.
