http://www.vladtv.com - Westbrook, who continues to put opposing teams in tough situations nightly by having to specialize defensive assignments in order to contain him, was rather pleased with his team's 109-100 victory vs. the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. He talked about how important the big plays were vs. the likes of Joakim Noah, especially dominating on the offensive and defensive glass (rebounding). Guys like Steven Adams and Enes Kanter have been huge in that category, with Kanter leading the team with 18 rebounds.
Russell also talks about how when the team is dominating the boards and playing paint defense at a high premium level, no one can beat them. Many NBA fans have questioned the coaching job Scott Brooks has done with the Thunder, especially when it comes to the play calling, which at times seems very bland, especially when KD and Russ are on the floor. In this interview Russell definitely gives praise to his coach for drawing up the necessary plays in crunch time in order for the team to succeed.
