Ray Pherz is a composer always looking for new forms of sound expression and a personal language. Musician with a classical education, today he immerses himself in cutting-edge music technology, ancient tradition and the newest music creation techniques.
He studied piano and music composition in Spain and Germany and from a very young age he began to include his music in his piano recitals. Soon he began to work on projects for film, television, commercials and theater, and decided to dedicate himself entirely to composition.
He has been composer for several film, TV and media production companies as “European Dream Factory” and “Piucho Film”, for example, for those who recently wrote the original soundtrack of “Amanece en Calcuta”, a film of the writer and director José María Zavala.
He often works for companies, universities, festivals and concerts of film and experimental music, such as "Inmediate Music" and composer Yoav Goren (USA), University of Louisiana Monroe (USA) or the "Tenerife International Film Music Festival FIMUCITE", where he was the assistant director of the third edition, working next to composers Diego Navarro (Pasaje al Amanecer, El Fotógrafo de Mauthausen), Mark Snow (X Files, Smallville), Jonathan Sacks (X Files), Don Davis (Matrix, Jurassic Park III), Joel McNeely (Avengers, air Force One) and John Ottman (Superman Returns, X-Men 2).
Nowadays, all his works and studio albums are released under the german music label “Epic Music World”.
