Why He Sacrificed Christian Rock Song Based Off John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God's Love: As stated in John 3:16, God's immense love for the world (humanity) was the driving force behind sending His Son.
To Pay the Penalty for Sin: The Bible teaches that sin separates humanity from God and carries the penalty of death (Romans 6:23). Jesus, being fully God and fully human and without sin, offered himself as a perfect sacrifice to pay this penalty on behalf of humanity. Scriptures like Isaiah 53:5 speak of him being pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities.
To Reconcile Humanity to God: Sin created a barrier between God and humanity. Jesus' sacrifice provided a way for that relationship to be restored. 2 Corinthians 5:18 states, "All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation."
To Offer Eternal Life: Through his death and resurrection, Jesus conquered sin and death, offering the gift of eternal life to all who believe in him (John 3:16, Romans 5:21).
Out of Obedience to the Father: Jesus willingly submitted to the Father's plan for salvation. Philippians 2:8 says, "And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!"
To Demonstrate God's Justice and Mercy: Jesus' sacrifice demonstrates both God's justice (in that sin must be punished) and His mercy (in that He provided a way for that punishment to be borne by His Son instead of humanity). Romans 3:25-26 speaks to God presenting Jesus as a sacrifice of atonement, demonstrating his righteousness.

We have two choices after we die: heaven or hell. You can choose your own destiny. Accepting Jesus assures you of a place in heaven. Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, please say this prayer below, and accept Him today!

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and that I have done things that have not pleased you. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and that you rose again from the dead.

I ask you to forgive me for all the wrong things I have done. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I turn away from my old life and desire to follow you.

Thank you for your love and forgiveness. Help me to live a life that honors you.

In your name, Amen."
