I think many violinists have a hard time playing close to the bridge with the bow, and believe me, I completely understand that it’s not the easiest thing. It’s not just a technical thing either, there are many factors to it besides just technique, but in order to get your sound palette to another level, you have to explore and work on that sounding point. It may not be a pleasant experience at first, but keep trying it out!
