In this video, Hayes shows you how to play an original 12 Bar Blues "head" (or melody) in the key of D major - “Walking Bass Blues.”

This tune was written using some vocabulary borrowed from Tiny Moore, Junior Barnard, and other players from Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.

The phrases used to write this melody make great improvisational statements, and Hayes shows you how to extract one and use it for your own solos.

This lesson is great for players of all skill levels who wants to get more comfortable with the 12 bar blues, swing lead playing, and improvisation.
