Baritone time, today we are going to look at the country strum, this is a strum pattern that I use for country music, but it isn't limited to country music, not even close. When I first developed this style of strumming and implemented it in my own playing I used to call it the "Jack Johnson Strum" because I would use it in songs like Banana Pancakes. There is also some overlap with the "bum-di-ty" style of clawhammer strumming that is use with banjo and ukulele in bluegrass and americana music, so as you can see, it is much more versatile than just a "country strum"
