➡️ I didn’t know punk rock could be THIS EPIC! My first time hearing “The Decline” by NOFX was such a worthy and righteous start to 2024, and I can’t thank you all enough for shoving the requests in my face for weeks on end. This was unbelievable. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing familiar songwriting elements from “Idiots Are Taking Over” - the clever chord progressions, the bass-heavy melodies - but I feel like the curtain was lifted to a unexpected goldmine of songwriting with this one. I discuss so many things that I can hardly list them: Fat Mike’s circular picking technique with bass chords, the theory behind each song segment, recurring themes and motifs, smooth AF secondary dominants, minor IVs, and simply how brilliant this epic track is. You guys also tricked me into doing a full-album reaction, but I’m so glad I did. This is hands down my favorite reaction video I’ve done to date. It truly left me speechless. ????????
