Panola Jazz Loft Concerts presents
Matt Lemmler & Friends with Guest Artist Steve Masakowski “Live from New Orleans and In the Neighborhood” November 27th, 2021

https://stevemasakowski.com

So excited to start the Panola Jazz Loft Concerts @panolajazzloftconcerts live shows “In the Neighborhood” above the Gnome Garden and online at www.facebook.com/mattlemmler

We’re celebrating the music of Stephen Sondheim and Dave Frishberg, both American composers who recently passed away...and we’re also celebrating the birthdays of Randy Newman 11/28 and Hoagy Carmichael 11/22.

These online and “In the Neighborhood” shows are offered in hopes of calming, healing, and soothing to all that listen and to all of us hopefully working on loving ourselves, loving our community and loving the world through community and service and from the gift of music and song. Sounds of Comfort & Joy!

As always, please feel free to request any song you’d wish for us to sing/play for you. Live straight to your home/office/pad/apartment/phone!

Thank you all for reaching out, checking up on us, for your prayers and all of you helping each of us get through more tough times, from the last year and half, and especially these last several months of hurricane/pandemic/17 hour evacuations/stress/anxiety- We’ve been blessed through it all. We’re all safe and sound, and Back in the Neighborhood, and I’m ready to start offering music again for Hurricane Relief and to do some fun neighborhood projects.

To all my New Orleans and world music family, please keep the Faith, keep Hope and keep Live Music alive always. Be healthy, safe and loving to yourself and to your neighbors.

Our precious New Orleans culture and music still exists, although on exile at times, and will always be in our hearts and souls.

I always remember the encouraging and visionary words of the great spirit and Snug Harbor master, George Brumat, right after our failing of our federal levees in 2005

“Fear not Brothers and Sisters….”Jazz City” will swing again…Peace! “Snug Harbor”” George Brumat 2005
