St. Benedict the Moor was a 16th century Sicilian friar who was born to African slaves and eventually became the patron saint of African-Americans. St. Benedict the Moor Church is located at 2423 Grant Street, North Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A. At the time of the recording, Reverend Father Kenneth Vavrina was pastor in residence. The current pastor is Reverend Father Vitalis Anyanike.
