This video is from the Monroe County Library Black History Series in 2007. I found it when I put together a tribute for the late Bill Reiser, the man who oversaw the series. One of my greatest thrills as a musician was to play on stage with the legendary Hubert Sumlin, Howlin' Wolf's lead guitarist and adopted son. Hubert passed away several years ago, but thanks to an audience member, Randy Nissen, I have video of something that I thought was only preserved in memories. The band is R.J. Spangler's Rhythm Rockers, with Peter "Madcat" Ruth on harmonica and the late great Ann Rabson on piano and the late great Johnnie Bassett on guitar.
