This post modern classical experimental piano “Chrysalis” is from my latest release “Transformations II”, of original piano compositions.

Modern classical, post modern, experimental piano music or even experimental jazz can describe these piano solo instrumental pieces. In the style of experimental piano improvisation, these genres can be used by modern classical music composers to create new paths.

Classical modern piano music can have quite abstract forms. This piece "Chrysalis" is piano solo piece that begins with a dance that is lighthearted. It contrasts with a slower section which returns to the dance, to explore the themes of contrast and play. Enjoy!
