This video is the 3rd in a series of lessons for parents who want to teach their kids from 18 months to 3 years old how to play violin. As a certified Suzuki violin teacher, I walk through how to hold a violin in playing position.
1. Put shoulder rest on violin (thin side under the chin rest, thick side toward the front when placed on shoulder)
2. Hold violin by the body and place up on to your left shoulder
3. Rest chin/jaw gently on violin to hold it up without support from the left hand
