WESTBOUND
It's him again, our westbound train
In off of, platform C
He's pressed against the crowded wall
And doesn't notice me
Enraptured at the sight of him
encompassed by his book
Display my longing helpless mind
Upon my displaced look
He's off into the elevator
I sit in the train
I ride away into the dark
He slides up to the rain

Westbound is poetry from the album We Were Moons. Available to stream on streaming platforms in early March 2022.
