Snare Saturday: 1977 Ludwig Acrolite 14” x 5” aluminum snare drum

.
“What is your favorite snare drum?”
This question appears actively in conversations, and I can rarely give a straight answer to it.
Not because I don’t know, but because for me, my favorite snare drum is the snare that best fits the music. It’s very situational.
This statement might be highly controversial, but any drum can sound good IF you know how to shape the sound through playing, tuning, and drum choice.
That’s why there is no such thing as a good-sounding or favorite snare drum.
There are just drummers who have put in the time to learn how to shape that sound, and through that, we create a connection to a drum that turns into our favorite for our reasons.
A drum is just the tool we use to bring music to others. Anything after that is all personal bias.
I hope you guys enjoy the drum tones! Have a fantastic weekend. I love you guys!! Okay. Byeeeee. ????????????????❤️????????
