A brand new anthem/carol for Matariki - New Year in Aotearoa/New Zealand by Leon Gray!

Waitī is the Fifth star of the Matariki (Pleiades) cluster - a star associated with fresh water: lakes, rivers, streams - all providing the essential water needed for life.
This song reminds people to think about and respect fresh waterways, as without them, life could not continue. They are the blood of the land, and the song urges listeners to love and care for all fresh water places.

This anthem is perfect at community choir concerts, or as part of any Matariki celebration. Like the other works in the series, Waitī tells its own part of the Matariki story and explores the values of this burgeoning holiday on the Kiwi calendar!
