➡️ Is this punk? Is it melodic hardcore? I don’t know, but these lads SHRED! The requests for “The Horse” by A Wilhelm Scream have been piling up, and I’m following your lead into deeper waters as I’ve never heard of these guys before. The two-handed bass tapping came out of left field and it’s some of the most impressive bass playing I’ve heard. I expected the song to be high-octane from start to finish, but the later interlude section really surprised me with a ton of melodic bass work under a catchy guitar motif. I discuss the song’s composition, Brian Robinson’s bass tone, and then hang on for dear life trying to catch all the beautiful bass intricacies. This track was quite the journey! ????????
